Analysis of Audience – Romance Genre

We did some research and analysed the data rom the UK Film Council for film audiences of our romance genre. As you can see from the photo below, it shows that there is a potentially huge market for us to target the audiences. Just over a quarter of cinema goers enjoy the genre (26% - pic 1, p.105) with 5% saying that it’s their favourite genre (pic 2 p.116). Looking at demographic data (p.106), it appears that I should be mainly aiming my product at females all aged under 35 (43%), although it is popular with females over 35 too. With regards to social class, there is very little difference between AB (27%), C1 (27%), C2 (25%), DE (24%) categories.
